  It use to be really good. Last two times we have eaten here on visits to the area the steaks were not prepared to order and seemed to be a low grade beef. Not worth the $25. Also, the lobster was not fresh. Simply pulled from the freezer and nuked. Again, not worth the $40. Out of our party if 6, four of us had stomach aches after eating here. Do yourself a favor, skip this joint.

  I've been eating here since 1988 or '89, it's got great steaks especially the rib eye and I love the salmon dinner and some of the best cheese burgers around. It's got one of the best Bar's in town for drink's and that old time atmosphere. I think I know about all the regular's and the owners have ran it since I've been going in, so it always feels like home. There is actually 3 kind of separate dining areas with a forth that they only open on special occasions for clubs or private parties. I have been told the actual bar was moved to the Sportsman about 60 years ago from another bar around the corner on Main st. where it was twice as long and they cut it down to fit it's new home. And the mirror behind the bar is about 20 foot long and etched with topless cowgirls on horseback with yucca plants and such. Try it... and it's totally casual too.

  I love this place. I've only ever gone for happy hour because it's such a great deal and you get delicious food for a terrific price. I always get the corned beef, but I also love starting with the cheese plate. The pickles are to die for. Chris the bar tender knows his booze and can make you any drink you could want. Upscale experience for a great value.

  Just plain awful! My fiancé and I went for New Year's Eve dinner to celebrate engagement , First of all our waitress was very rude and made it seem like we were bothering her. Checked on us once! I ordered the prime rib being it's the specialty of the house. Ordered it medium like I always do. I could tell as soon as she set it down it was going to bad, but gave it a try because this was my first time here. It was a well done, leathery,tasteless hunk of meat! My fiancé told the waitress, but she just ignored him. I didn't want to get the manager/owner involved as we were already running late for another engagement. Needless to say we will probably not be coming here again! I enjoy neighborhood restaurants much more than the chains, but I probably could have gotten a better meal at Outback !
